M.C. Dean Security & Electronic Systems team members Vanna Phan and Anthony Jeffries recently received the Foundation for Advancing Security Talent (FAST) 2024 Security Technician of the Year awards, recognizing their expectational leadership skills, willingness to mentor new technicians in their career journeys, and remarkable reputation for technical electronic security systems expertise. As a Security Industry Association (SIA) member, M.C. Dean was one of only two companies with multiple employees awarded this honor.

“Vanna and Anthony’s ability to address and quickly resolve complex security challenges has strengthened the support and trust of our large federal customers,” said Julaine Simmons, M.C. Dean senior vice president for Security & Electronic Systems. “Their leadership is instrumental in managing the installation and modernization efforts of physical security systems for mission critical facilities across the nation.”

Over 70 security technicians submitted FAST award applications. Phan and Jeffries shared professional advice for newer security technicians, expressed rewarding aspects of their role, and provided examples of overcoming complex challenges with installing and maintaining security systems. After reviewing their applications, a committee of SIA and Electronic Security Association (ESA) board members selected both for the awards.
