M.C. Dean announced the promotion of Misty Miran, director of human resources, to vice president of corporate human resources. In this role, Miran will provide leadership and strategic integration of the company’s corporate human resources portfolio, including employee relations, benefits and compensation, retention initiatives, new hire experience, and compliance.
Miran has been an integral part of M.C. Dean for almost 25 years, holding multiple leadership roles in our human resources team. Her detailed knowledge of M.C. Dean’s operations, projects, and leadership, combined with her extensive expertise in employee relations and industry best practices, make her the perfect candidate to lead our corporate human resources team.
Before joining M.C. Dean, Miran was a human resources generalist with Dominion Energy in Leesburg, Virginia.
The Human Resources service center is reorganizing its leadership composed of three functions: corporate human resources, learning and development, and talent acquisition.
This strategic move enhances our HR capabilities and ensures that we continue to provide exceptional support to our employees while fostering their professional growth within M.C. Dean. This new leadership team will streamline our processes, optimize talent acquisition, and deliver targeted learning initiatives. Going forward, this leadership team will report directly to Bill Dean, M.C. Dean chief executive officer. Misty Miran Vice President of Corporate Human Resources
As mentioned above, Misty Miran now serves as vice president, overseeing employee relations, wellness, and corporate strategy. Miran and her team will continue to work closely with managers and employees to address emerging issues and develop solutions in line with M.C. Dean’s values.
Tommy Bumstead Vice President of Learning and Development
Tommy Bumstead joins M.C. Dean from Precision Drilling, where he was the Global Director of Training and Talent Development. His team will focus on creating tailored learning experiences that empower our employees to thrive in their roles, align with corporate strategy, and help employees take ownership of their career growth. Bumstead is a graduate of Lamar University and holds graduate degrees from Texas A&M and City University of Seattle.
Jamal Baadani Director of Talent Acquisition
Jamal Baadani joins M.C. Dean from Achieval Strategies, where he was the managing director and chief talent officer for the past six years. Baadani and the recruiting team will take a strategic approach to talent acquisition, ensuring M.C. Dean attracts top-tier candidates who share our vision and values. Baadani is a retired Marine Corps First Sergeant (E-8) and a graduate of Concordia University, St. Paul.
