Multi-Factor Authentication adds an extra layer of security to our network services, mitigating security and data privacy threats in compliance with U.S. Government NIST SP 800-171 cybersecurity controls. At M.C. Dean, multi-factor authentication is required to gain access to company systems.
M.C. Dean uses the Microsoft Authenticator App, and Microsoft Hello for Business for Windows Operating Systems and DUO/Microsoft Intune for Macintosh.
The user guides and videos on the right provide step-by-step instructions for installing Microsoft Authenticator app and enabling multi-factor authentication on your device. When logging into VPN, Timesheet, POL, and Benefits, you will be asked to sign-in using your M.C. Dean credentials. The system will prompt you to either approve your login or provide a 6-digit verification code to approve the authentication.
Employees who have requested an OTP device in-person or through the mail, must contact MIS Helpdesk to register and activate the device. If you lose or damage the device, contact MIS Helpdesk for replacement.
Report Phishing
Employees can report phishing and spam emails to MIS and Information Security by clicking the Submit Email button in Microsoft Outlook.
