• Corporate Announcement

M.C. Dean hosted our 75th Anniversary Tech Expo event from October 2-4 in the heart of Washington, D.C. 500+ employees and 150+ customers joined us for an exhibition of our latest technology and engineering solutions, demonstrating how we evolve cyber-physical solutions for our customers’ most complex challenges – Transforming Tomorrow!

Below is a recap of key event highlights with more in-depth coverage and video recordings to come over the next several weeks.

In his opening remarks, M.C. Dean chief executive officer Bill Dean examined the history and future implications of industrial innovation and productivity. The rapid growth of AI and machine learning requires engineering expertise to accelerate speed to market, improve efficiency and productivity, and address growing complexities of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).

Technical Demonstrations

The first two days of the event included eight technical demonstrations featuring the latest technologies, systems integrations, and project achievements. These featured demos are the core of Tech Expo, showcasing emerging and cutting-edge technologies and solutions being applied to real world customer challenges.

  • Replacing Critical Infrastructure Operational Technology (OT) & Information Technology (IT) without Impact to Mission
  • Modular Deployment of Mission Critical Virtual IT Systems to Optimize OT
  • Plug-and-Play Modular Data Center
  • High Density Fiber Solutions for AI Data Centers
  • Cloud-enabled Enterprise Fire Alarm Monitoring and Management Solution
  • Everything as Code
  • Power Delivery Modules: Lean Transformation from Construction Site to Production Line
  • Future of Enterprise Security: AI- and ML-enabled Operational Performance

Keynote Session

We kicked off the afternoon of Day 1 with an inspirational keynote from Dr. Michio Kaku, a world-renowned theoretical physicist and futurist. He holds the Chair in Theoretical Physics at the City University of New York, is an author of three New York Times best sellers, and is working to complete Einstein’s equation for a “theory of everything.” Dr. Kaku discussed the transformative potential of the fourth and fifth industrial revolutions centered around advancements in AI, quantum computing, fusion power, and the future of space travel.

Exhibit Hall

New to Tech Expo was the exhibit hall—an interactive showcase reflecting M.C. Dean’s innovations in modular delivery and OT/IT solutions. Our 16 exhibits showcased turnkey modular data center, high density fiber, and power solutions along with the digital engineering modeling and simulation tools applied today that are the basis for integrated digital twins of tomorrow. Featured IT and OT solutions included hybrid labs, automated code deployments, model-based system engineering, integrated testing for interoperability, energy resiliency, cyber security, and InfraLink™.

Employee and Customer Sessions

All three days featured long form sessions for further discussion with customers, and training and development for our employees. Employee workshops included training on best known ways for project delivery utilizing Lean principles, secure systems delivery, and technical career paths; as well as paired project delivery and InfraLink™ trainings in Modular Manufacturing or Systems Sustainment-focused tracks. Training sessions like these provide valuable tools and insights, equipping our teams to drive efficiency and innovation in their projects and within their teams.

Thank you to our customers, presenters, contributors, and staff for their hard work making our 75th Anniversary Tech Expo a success.

We closed out the week with an evening of grandeur, live entertainment, and a selection of interactive activities at the company’s 75th Anniversary Diamond Gala. With 2,000 employees and their guests in attendance, the event commemorated the shared accomplishments of M.C. Dean’s employees in reaching this significant milestone.
