Lift directors oversee traffic controls during a lift, rigging oversight, safety alertness, area preparation, and much more to ensure lifts are safe and productive.

M.C. Dean’s in-house logistics and specialty lifting capability is a critical component of their modular delivery value stream, enhancing quality, safety, and speed for their largest customers. A team of highly specialized lift directors provide the expertise required to plan and execute highly complex lifts for Modular Mission Critical™.

Bill Leonhard II, of the MMC rigging team, recently joined Kyle Pruett and Nathan Christhilf to become M.C. Dean’s third National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) lift director. This team directly oversees millions of pounds in lifts being performed by a crane and the associated rigging crews.

“Developing lift directors in this way provides trust to our customers that we are using industry-leading expertise when handling their equipment while prioritizing the safety of our people,” says Aaron Schoemaker, M.C. Dean chief safety officer.

M.C. Dean lift directors integrate technology in the lift process when creating lift and rigging simulations, collaborating with engineers in the design process, and managing seamless product delivery and installation of complex systems.
